Gamble Orchards is located in Hart, Michigan, which is in Oceana County. It has been in business for 40 years. The farm is busy year around. We grow asparagus, tart cherries, peaches, apples, and Christmas trees. Some of the jobs we need workers for are: harvesting, general labor, and operating farm equipment [i.e. tractor]. We employ approximately 4-12 workers during the harvest season. We pay $7.40 for general labor, for asparagus we pay piece rate-$0.13 per pound for fresh market and $0.115 per pound for processing, with a minimum wage guarantee. Apples and peaches are also paid by the box (both are $12 per box and hourly). Gamble Orchards has Worker's Compensation coverage. We have approved housing for 12 people.
