Wheeler Farms Inc. is located in Hart, Michigan. The business was established in 1962. We started the fresh pack in 1986 and added a kitchen/bakery in 1993.

Employment: We grow the following types of produce: asparagus, sweet and tart cherries, tomatoes, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, sweet corn, cut flowers, peaches, pears, grapes, apples, and pumpkins. We employ an approximate total of 60 workers during the harvest season, which usually runs from April 1st through November 10th.

Wages/Housing: In 2006, the wages earned by workers ranged from $5.15 (minimum wage at that time) to $7.50 per hour. We do not provide housing.

Amenities: Our business contributes to unemployment and worker compensation taxes. Wheeler Farms Inc. is located near the Telamon Hart Migrant Head Start.
