Telamon
Corporation
Since 1965, Telamon Corporation has provided supportive assistance
to untold numbers of recipients. Telamon Corporation was formed to propose,
develop and administer programs to serve those in need including farmworkers
and their families, children born into poverty, low-income and elderly
residents of rural American, youth who struggle with societal challenges,
the dislocated and disenfranchised.
In more than four decades of service, our maturity as a nonprofit organization
has grown along with the number of programs we operate and geographic
reach. Today, over one hundred projects bring help with childcare, employment,
housing, education and community development to people in eleven states.
Telamon's corporate office is located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Programs available in Michigan include:
Migrant Head
Start
Migrant Head Start is a federally-funded, comprehensive
child development program for children of migrant farm workers who
are two weeks through five years of age.
Employment Training
Through a program made possible under the Workforce Investment
Act. Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker families are provided with
an opportunity to access Employment and Training services, along
with an array of supportive services which are necessary for the
families to succeed in their training objectives.
